Hans Rudi Giger is my favourite artist of the 20th century. His airbrush paintings really capture my imagination. These paintings have a sterile, clinical feel. they present us with an image of the metaphysical world that under lies our own respective reality.

One of Giger's theories about painting was that one should not be able to tell how it was done. His paintings of biomechanics reflect this attitude. These biomechanical constructs are something that give me freedom to produce my figurative work, whilst trying not to emulate Giger too closely.
