Entering stage 3

Having now progressed to stage 3 of my degree program, my work has taken a slightly different direction. although still surreal I have taken an opportunity to explore the urban landscape. Combining it with portraiture and figurative expression. Most of my work created in the last few months has been chalk and charcoal sketches. Also i have painted a large scale canvas (see above image), some 6 feet by 6 feet. this painting as perhaps a sketch also.

From this point on, in this blog I shall be looking at the artists that have influenced me whilst creating the work for this module
