I was present at the instillation of the B.A fine art second year exhibition. This show gives a taster of what to expect on the future from this years second year.

untitled by Brett Dickson.
Brett Dickson is showing the above work. It is an oil on canvas. Its pallet is blues and reds. Brett describes it as a self portrait. The fox is Brett. on the left is a lantern that the artist references to Picasso's Guernica.
The painting is full of symbolism. Such as a pair of spectacles belonging to an old teacher of Brett's.
Also cricket balls that show the artists love of cricket. The colour scheme gives the painting a quality that is easy on the eye.

Fluid painting by Charlotte Steward.
Charlotte's glass supports are rendered with poster paint, acrylic and oil paint suspended in water. the paint is poured onto the glass and left to dry over night. There is a lot of fluid movement in the paint. This technique gives random results. The paintings are spontaneous and Charlotte's is tranquil and mindful as she produces this art.
The second year exhibition is a great display of work by the students that show a lot of potential.
