Artist Talk Ben Edmunds

The painter Ben Edmunds (year 2 MA fine art) from the royal college of art visited Sunderland uni and presented some slides of his work, to the staff and students.He reminisced about his origins, and how they have influenced his work.

colour field abstractions, and intersections between abstractions and figuration are an interest of his. As well as American post war abstract painting, through to poster design.

Ben describes his work and practise as an "omnivorous approach" that helps him to "skew perceptions of familiarity in painting".
