innes's Shaun Space crit

The work that I have chosen from innes's Shaun Space crit is an acrylic on card board. The card board support is irregularly cut.
It is more of an organic composition than structured and measured. A yellow background with a disembodied head is the main subject. On the bottom left is a pair of arms/hands which have been collaged on, this is a good move. The red roses above the hands seam succulent against the yellow back ground.
In the bottom centre we see a hand supporting a trap from a Venus Fly Trap. A fly on a leaf in the bottom right observes the trap.
This seems to be a very surreal painting. It has a meaning that can be gleaned from the viewers subconscious. the picture reminds me of one of my own.
