This painting "untitled 2017" is an acrylic on canvas. It was painted semi-automaticaly. originally worked in monochrome where forms were created by hallucinating into the paint. Then finished off in colour. the background is abstract colour plaines. although human the central figure does not conform to a traditional representation of the human form. The motif of the snake devouring the eyeball crops up in manny of my currant compositions. This may be a representation of a sperm and an egg.

Because of this painting being a partial product of my subconscious, it could be seen as a self-portrait. a selfie of the mind rather than the body.
